The album "Nara", released in 1967, is the follow-up to the acclaimed album "Vento de Maio" and signifies the transition from Bossa Nova to Tropicália in Nara Leão's career. During this period, Nara Leão established herself as one of the most influential artists in Brazilian music, contributing to the creation of bossa nova and the movement known as MPB (Brazilian Popular Music). Furthermore, she was one of the few artists who opposed the pointless debate about the presence of electric guitar in Brazilian music, alongside Caetano Veloso. With notable appearances in Tropicália and Jovem Guarda (Young Guard), Nara Leão also played a crucial role in launching prominent figures in Brazilian music such as Chico Buarque and Maria Bethânia.
